Is this you?  You give everything to your patients.
But who’s taking care of you?
If you’re like many Alberta nurses, you’re:
- Saying “yes” when you’re already exhaustedÂ
- Carrying the emotional load of patients, families, and colleaguesÂ
- Wondering how long you can keep going at this paceÂ
- Feeling guilty when you even *think* about taking time for yourselfÂ
Â
The Alberta Association of Nurses is partnering to bring you access to **The Foundation Course**, an online program built to help nurses move from burnout and depletion toward clarity, capacity, and a more sustainable way of working and living.
**“I’m Ready To Prioritize My Well‑Being”**
What is the Burnout to Joy Foundation Course?
The Foundation Course is a 4-module, 6-week online program combined with live sessions designed specifically for nurses and healthcare professionals who want practical tools — not platitudes — to reduce burnout, protect their energy, and reconnect with purpose.
All course content, conversations and recordings remain PRIVATE to each cohort
group in a safe, private online learning portal moderated by Sam Bell and April Lara.
The Burnout to Joy Foundation Course gives you:Â
- **Short, focused, achievable lessons** you can complete on your own timeÂ
- **Practical tools** for nervous system regulation, boundaries, and energy managementÂ
- **Guided reflections** to help you reconnect with why you started nursing in the first placeÂ
- **OPTIONAL, LIVE, WEEKLY sessions with Sam Bell and April Lara and your colleagues for additional coaching, reflection, and Q&A in order to give you support**, so you don’t feel like you’re doing this alone and so that you can maximize your learning and development. Â
(All sessions are recorded.)
These upcoming cohorts are designed **specifically for nurses**, giving you a private, safe, supportive space with peers who understand your context.  Reflections and prompts are tailored to the realities of nursing in Alberta. Â
By the end of the course, you will be able to:
Â
✔ Notice and interrupt your own burnout patterns before they escalateÂ
✔ Set and communicate boundaries without drowning in guiltÂ
✔ Create simple, realistic practices to restore your energy day to dayÂ
✔ Feel more grounded and confident in navigating the emotional side of nursingÂ
✔ Take your next steps with clarity instead of overwhelm Â
