Issue #07 — MAY 2026: 'Celebrating the Small Wins'

Hello, beautiful person!
Sometimes healing doesn’t look like a breakthrough.
Sometimes it looks like drinking water before your third coffee… taking a deep breath before reacting… leaving work on time… or finally saying, “I need rest.”
This month inside Burnout to JOY, we’re celebrating the small wins — because small wins are how nervous systems learn safety, confidence, and hope again.
You see, when we’re burned out, we often become conditioned to only acknowledge the big achievements:
✔ The promotion
✔ The transformation
✔ The huge milestone
But healing happens quietly.
Your nervous system rebuilds trust through tiny moments repeated consistently.
Small wins matter because they:
- Create momentum
- Rewire the brain toward safety and possibility
- Build self-trust
- Reduce overwhelm
- Remind us we are moving forward — even when it feels slow
This month, April and Sam invite you to stop waiting until everything is “fixed” before celebrating yourself.
Maybe your win this week is:
- Asking for help
- Resting without guilt
- Taking a lunch break
- Going outside for 5 minutes
- Drinking more water
- Saying no
- Feeling your emotions instead of suppressing them
- Choosing softness over survival mode
Remember: Tiny shifts create powerful transformations over time.

This Month’s Reflection
One of our community members shared:
“I realized healing wasn’t about becoming someone new.
It was about finally feeling safe enough to become myself again.”
💖 We felt that deeply.
This month, we encourage you to celebrate yourself for the things nobody else sees:
- The thoughts you challenged
- The boundaries you honoured
- The moments you chose rest instead of pushing through
- The courage it took just to keep going
Those count too.
✨ Affirmations of the Month
Take a moment to pause…(because you KNOW Sam loves affirmations!)
Notice your breath...
and gently receive what resonates.
You don’t need to force these.
Allow the words to meet you where you are.
- I honour my progress, even when it feels small.
- Tiny steps still move me forward.
- Rest is productive.
- I do not need to earn my worth through exhaustion.
- My nervous system heals through safety, consistency, and compassion.
- I celebrate who I am becoming.
- Small wins create lasting change.
🌿 Sam’s Joy Sanctuary
Your 2-Minute Reset Practice
This month’s invitation:
Before checking your phone in the morning, pause and ask yourself:
“What would support me today?”
Then choose ONE small supportive action.
That’s it.
Not perfection.
Not a transformation overnight.
Just one gentle act of self-support.
Because healing often begins in the moments we stop abandoning ourselves.

🔮 What’s Coming Next
June Theme: Letting Go & Emotional Release
Next month, inside Burnout to JOY, we’ll explore the emotional weight so many of us carry silently — stress, pressure, resentment, grief, guilt, exhaustion, and the emotions we’ve learned to suppress just to keep functioning.
Sam chose this theme, having experienced emotional release with her clients at the recent healing retreat she co-facilitated, and it is something we can feel discomfort around
So in June, we’ll gently explore:
- Why emotions get “stored” in the body
- The connection between emotional suppression and nervous system overwhelm
- Safe ways to process and release emotional stress
- Letting go of survival patterns that no longer serve you
- Creating space for peace, softness, and emotional freedom
✨ Plus:
- Guided emotional release meditations
- Nervous system regulation tools
- Journal prompts for emotional healing
- Breathwork and grounding practices
- Podcast conversations on healing, surrender, and self-compassion
This month is not about “fixing” yourself.
It’s about creating enough safety within yourself to finally exhale
💖 Closing Message
If nobody told you lately:
You are allowed to be proud of yourself for surviving difficult seasons.
You are allowed to celebrate the tiny moments of healing.
You are allowed to move slowly.
Burnout recovery is not built in giant leaps.
It’s built in small loving moments repeated over time.
And every one of those moments matters.
Until next time…
